How we work remotely
Most briefing and design meetings can be held by video, supported by shared drawings, 3D views and written decision records. Site visits are scheduled for the moments when seeing the property or work in person adds the most value.
Travel requirements and any related fees are agreed before each stage begins. The right delivery model depends on the location, project complexity and level of service you need.
Construction-stage services
Contract administration involves site inspections, responding to builder questions, assessing claims and checking the work against the contract documents. Travel can therefore have a greater effect during construction than during design.
For distant projects, we will discuss whether regular travel remains practical or whether a suitable local architect or project manager should provide some site-based services. Any change in responsibilities must be clearly documented and agreed by the client.

Yes. Briefing, option reviews and many design decisions can be handled by video meeting, supported by shared drawings and 3D views. The number of in-person meetings depends on the site and project.
What happens during construction?
We agree the appropriate inspection and contract administration approach before construction. For a distant site, that may include planned visits by Whisker Architecture, local support, or a clearly defined combination of both.
