Saltbush Retreat Named Award Finalist

We’re delighted to share that Saltbush Retreat has been named a finalist in the 2026 HIA Western Victoria Regional Housing Awards, with builder Argent Constructions recognised in the Custom Built Home $1 million to $1.5 million category.

Designed by Whisker Architecture and built by Argent Constructions, Saltbush Retreat was completed in 2025. It’s wonderful to see the project and the craftsmanship that brought it to life recognised by the Housing Industry Association.

The winners will be announced at the Western Victoria Regional Housing Awards in Torquay on Friday 18 September 2026. Fingers crossed!

Audrey Whisker

Audrey is a Melbourne architect with over 10 years’ experience in the industry. Her experience working on a variety of projects including residential, multi-residential, education, workplace, and hospitality has led to a human centred design approach. Her interest is in how people interact with public and private spaces, and how those spaces in turn influence how we act. Audrey Whisker is a Certified Passive House Designer passionate about inclusivity and accessibility.
